Two weekends of roof repair for Taner, a home-care aide in Bursa
The roof at Taner's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a home-care aide living in Bursa. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $680, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Stay strong. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Santos
Hang in there, Taner. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better.
thinking of you and your family, Taner. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Greetings from Tlaquepaque.
praying for you, Taner. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care.
