Leo is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at Manukau University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,050.
The registrar has said Leo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Leo has a distinction average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Leo would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Leo isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $3,050 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $330
• Exam and lab fees: $240
• Final term tuition: $2,480
Glad we found this place.

Good luck. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Kasarani
Sending good thoughts. Study hard! Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
sending love, Scarlett. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
So sorry you're going through this, Scarlett. Hope you get there. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Takoradi.
