I'm caring for me, who's 93. After a fall and hip fracture Noah can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Noah desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Noah worked all of his life as a shopkeeper, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $4,100 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $310
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $230
• Part-time carer (four months): $3,560
