Two weekends of roof repair for Shweta, a retired bus driver in New Delhi
Could you spare two Saturdays to help repair a leaking roof in New Delhi?

I'm a retired bus driver living in New Delhi. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $390, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
it takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 34 people at work.
Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Please keep us posted. Love from Mumbai.
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Love from Berlin.
