Two weekends of roof repair for Rachel, a widowed grandmother in Allentown
The roof at Rachel's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a widowed grandmother living in Allentown. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $5,750, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Wishing you peace. Shared it with a few friends. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Edinburgh.
Sending strength, Rachel. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Malang.
Sending good thoughts, Rachel. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I hope July is when things finally get easier. Blessings
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Thinking of Allentown
