A covered market stall space for Union Park: help our neighbors in Curitiba
A community-led a covered market stall space at Union Park that will serve 217 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $360, and the remaining cost is $1,150.
It will serve about 217 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Materials: $920
• Permits and inspections: $100
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $95
