Two weekends of roof repair for Pieter, a disabled veteran in Ekurhuleni
Pieter, a disabled veteran, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Ekurhuleni.

I'm a disabled veteran living in Ekurhuleni. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $1,150, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope it all works out, Pieter. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Sent it to 40 people at work.
Keep going. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from London.
Hope things get better soon, Pieter. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best.
Wishing you the best, Pieter. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update.
sending love, Pieter. Hope you get there. Don't give up.
