A few hours of family-law attorney time could save Sumaiya's home

Looking for a pro bono family-law attorney in Maharashtra for a case with a deadline in September.

I'm facing an unlawful eviction, with a hearing on September. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer. I'm looking for a qualified family-law attorney licensed in Maharashtra who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee. I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Pune or meet online. I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Thanks for sharing this, Sumaiya. Hope this works out for you. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Denver.

    • Wishing you peace, Sumaiya. Hope you get there. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Salerno.

      • Hope things get better soon, Sumaiya. It takes guts to ask. Well done. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.

        • So sorry you're going through this, Sumaiya. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Tema.
