Two weekends of roof repair for Piet, a disabled veteran in Amsterdam
The roof at Piet's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a disabled veteran living in Amsterdam. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,050, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Mohammedia so I could bring a meal. Love from Tallahassee
stay strong, Piet. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
stay strong, Piet. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
Wishing you the best. This could happen to any of us. Love from Worcester.
