Build a wheelchair ramp for Clémence in Strasbourg
Help Clémence regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇫🇷 Grand Est, France591 views
Clémence has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Clémence can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Clémence's family will cook lunch for the team.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Rooting for you, Maxime. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Móstoles.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Strasbourg.
Sending love, Maxime. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Iztapalapa
Thanks for sharing this, Maxime. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Strasbourg.
