I'm a night-shift nurse living in Gujranwala. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $620, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over one long weekend. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • Rooting for you, Nazia. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Santos.

Best of luck, Nazia. It takes guts to ask. Well done. All the best

      • Sending good thoughts, Nazia. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

        • Keep going, Nazia. I hope things turn around soon. My husband and I read this together.

So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. Love from Adama.
