Two weekends of roof repair for Graciela, a school janitor in La Plata
Could you spare three weekday mornings to help repair a leaking roof in La Plata?

I'm a school janitor living in La Plata. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $1,150, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Wishing you peace, Graciela. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Thessaloniki.
So sorry you're going through this, Graciela. Shared this with my family. Take care.
Hope it all works out, Graciela. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together!
Rooting for you, Graciela. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Comilla.
Keep going. I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings
