Two weekends of roof repair for Anjali, a disabled veteran in London
Anjali, a disabled veteran, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in London.

I'm a disabled veteran living in London. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,550, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope it all works out, Anjali. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 8 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
