In January I was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections. My surgeon at Sandton Community Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for April. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $3,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $2,100 short.
