Tuition fund for Zawadi: a pharmacy diploma at Nairobi Community College

Zawadi is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a pharmacy diploma at Nairobi Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $700. The registrar has said Zawadi can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Zawadi has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Zawadi would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Zawadi isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $700 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $370 • Final term tuition: $290 • Exam and lab fees: $30 • Textbooks and materials: $10 Thanks for reading all this.
