Laxmi was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August. The oncology team at Biratnagar Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in December. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Laxmi is 51, worked as a hairdresser until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Biratnagar Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $400 goes: • Scans and lab work: $240 • Household costs while unable to work: $95 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $65 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Puja
