Help Elias patch the roof before winter
Elias, a widowed grandmother, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Peoria.

I'm a widowed grandmother living in Peoria. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,700, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thanks for sharing this, Elias. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Peoria
Take care, Elias. I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 39 people at work.
