Yves is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at Saint-Denis State College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,300.
The registrar has said Yves can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Yves has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Yves would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Yves isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,100
• Final term tuition: $1,850
• Exam and lab fees: $200
• Textbooks and materials: $150
Thank you so much.

it takes guts to ask. Well done. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Tema.
Stay strong. Hope this works out for you. All the best
is there anything that isn't money that would help Yves?
Thank you. If you're in Saint-Denis I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Happy to explain more.
thanks for sharing this, Ethan. Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless.
so sorry you're going through this. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. After 9 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Sending good thoughts, Ethan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Alcalá de Henares.
