Tuition fund for Khadija: a nursing degree at Gwagwalada University
A first-generation student, Khadija needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a nursing degree.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a nursing degree at Gwagwalada University, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $800.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $800 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $410
• Final term tuition: $280
• Exam and lab fees: $40
• Textbooks and materials: $70

Thanks for sharing this, Khadija. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
Best of luck, Khadija. This could happen to any of us. All the best.
