Mohit lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Pune Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Mohit could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $850 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $790
• Fitting and training sessions: $50
• Delivery and set-up: $10
