Julián is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Tarragona State College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,200.
The registrar has said Julián can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Julián has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Julián would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Julián isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Tarragona State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
