Ayumi is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an agriculture degree at Osaka Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,250. The registrar has said Ayumi can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ayumi has a 3.9 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ayumi would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Ayumi isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $2,250 goes: • Final term tuition: $1,250 • Textbooks and materials: $185 • Outstanding tuition balance: $815 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
