Lipi was diagnosed with prostate cancer in June. The oncology team at Leeds University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Lipi is 57, worked as a construction supervisor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Leeds University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,050 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,250 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $530 • Scans and lab work: $590 • Transport to Leeds University Hospital: $680 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
