The Unity vacant lot needs a solar-powered water pump - Rosa's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Ciudad de México are raising $1,200 for a solar-powered water pump at the Unity vacant lot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,200.
It will serve about 512 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
• Materials: $1,050
• Permits and inspections: $65
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
