A free library and reading room for Unity Primary School: help our neighbors in Lahore
Volunteers in Lahore are raising $500 for a free library and reading room at Unity Primary School.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 207 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $370
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $55
