The Union health centre yard needs a youth football pitch - Sergio's neighborhood project
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Union health centre yard that will serve 489 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $950.
It will serve about 489 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $950 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $185
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Materials: $720
