The Union health centre yard needs a skate park - Joaquín's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $1,500 for materials.
🇪🇸 Spain1,027 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,500.
It will serve about 309 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Safety equipment and signage: $230
• Materials: $1,165
I hope life is good to you.
Updates from Joaquín
Thank you all. We're at 19% now ($288). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts.

Take care, Joaquín. More neighborhoods should do this. Love from Tiruchirappalli.
