The Union community hall needs a skate park - Beau's neighborhood project
A community-led a skate park at the Union community hall that will serve 566 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,600.
It will serve about 566 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Materials: $940
• Permits and inspections: $260
• Safety equipment and signage: $195
• Tools hire and delivery: $205

It's all in the list in the story. materials is the big one at $940, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
