The Sahin family fled Venezuela - help them rebuild in Nairobi
After fleeing Venezuela, the Sahin family has arrived in Nairobi with little more than their documents. They need help with a deposit, furniture and the first months.

My family left Venezuela 13 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Nairobi. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in October.
I was a farmer in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $650 goes:
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $60
• Language classes and bus passes: $60
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $260
• Rent deposit and first month: $270
With deep gratitude,
Rose

Wishing you peace, Rose. Hope this works out for you. After 9 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

You're not alone. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
