Two weekends of roof repair for Francois, a retired bus driver in Richards Bay

I'm a retired bus driver living in Richards Bay. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $1,100, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Monterrey so I could bring a meal. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this, Francois. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
