The old Sycamore bus depot needs a youth football pitch - Nirali's neighborhood project

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 496 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $370 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Safety equipment and signage: $35 • Tools hire and delivery: $25 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
