The old Baobab bus depot needs a skate park - Vanessa's neighborhood project
Volunteers in São Paulo are raising $200 for a skate park at the old Baobab bus depot.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $200.
It will serve about 133 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $200 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $75
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
• Permits and inspections: $55
