The Baobab vacant lot needs a youth football pitch - Jumoke's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 377 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $300 goes: • Materials: $180 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $20 • Tools hire and delivery: $70 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Jumoke
