Help Atieno start the school year with the right tools
Atieno won a place at the Kasarani Selective School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Year 11 at the Kasarani Selective School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become a doctor. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $150 goes:
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $10
• School uniform and shoes: $40
• Laptop: $100
Thanks for reading all this.

Thanks for sharing this, Atieno. I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Kasarani.
Thanks for sharing this, Atieno. Study hard! My husband and I read this together. All the best
Rooting for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
