Entebbe
My family left Ethiopia 9 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Entebbe. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in April. I was a nurse in Ethiopia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent). Where the $650 goes: • Rent deposit and first month: $280 • Beds, table and basic furniture: $220 • Winter clothing and school supplies: $55 • Language classes and bus passes: $40 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $55 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
