The Nguyen family fled Syria - help them rebuild in Arlington
After fleeing Syria, the Nguyen family has arrived in Arlington with little more than their documents. They need help with a deposit, furniture and the first months.

My family left Syria 6 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Arlington. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in April.
I was a shopkeeper in Syria, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Arlington Refugee Support Network, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $610
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $210
• Rent deposit and first month: $2,380
Thank you so much.

Thinking of you and your family, Theodore. Looking forward to the next update. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
sending strength. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.
