The Mukiza family fled Syria - help them rebuild in Kasarani
Help a family of 5 start their new life in Kasarani: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.
🇰🇪 Kenya371 views
My family left Syria 7 months ago after the war reached our town. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Kasarani. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in August.
I was a teacher in Syria, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $750 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $300
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $270
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $80
• Language classes and bus passes: $90
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $10
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

praying for you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Peoria.
Rooting for you, Nakato. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Howrah but we're thinking of you.
