Volunteers wanted: Huda's yard after the storm
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Huda's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 75 and I have lived in this house in Winnipeg for 49 years. After the storm in January, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Wishing you peace, Huda. Your post was clear and honest. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Winnipeg.
Keep going. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Surat
