Need a housing expert's view on a rent increase in Cairo
Nabil is dealing with a withheld security deposit and needs someone who knows the law in Cairo to explain the options.

My landlord in Cairo has given me a withheld security deposit. I've read what I can online, but the rules are confusing and different sources contradict each other.
I'm hoping that someone with experience in housing or tenant rights in Cairo could spare 20-30 minutes to explain the process, the deadlines and the documents I should collect.
I have my lease, all communications and photos organized. I'm happy to share them privately. I can't pay for a lawyer, so any guidance on free services in Cairo would also be appreciated.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
