The Lotus vacant lot needs a skate park - Pranjal's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $120, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 585 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $185 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Safety equipment and signage: $25 • Tools hire and delivery: $20 Thank you for reading my story. - Pranjal
