For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 218 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $350 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $20 • Permits and inspections: $55 • Materials: $275 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 90% funded and we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
