The Liberty community hall needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Skylar's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Auckland are raising $800 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the Liberty community hall.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 156 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Tools hire and delivery: $280

• Safety equipment and signage: $240
