Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Angela
Help Angela regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom750 views
Angela has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Angela can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Angela's family will cook lunch for the team.

Hang in there. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Bogotá!
Thinking of you and your family, Zoey. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care
