Tania was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at the Gazipur Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Tania is 42, worked as a tailor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Gazipur Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $30
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,000
• Transport to the Gazipur Oncology Institute: $70
