Wondimu needs palate reconstruction surgery at Hawassa Community Hospital and the family is $1,000 short of the hospital's estimate.

Wondimu was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in August. The surgeon at Hawassa Community Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and He is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,250, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,000 short.
my husband has been in and out of Hawassa Community Hospital since August. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Wondimu struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Wondimu won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
