Sohel, my father, passed away on 11 August after complications from pneumonia. He was 86 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $600 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 29 August. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Sohel to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $600 goes: • Transport of the deceased: $60 • Funeral home services and casket: $500 • Memorial gathering for the family: $40 Please ask me anything in the questions section.
