Emergency vet bill for Max in Gwagwalada
A tabby kitten named Max needs orthopedic surgery - a $400 bill the family can't cover.
🇳🇬 Nigeria511 views
Max is my tabby kitten of six years. On 7 August we rushed to Gwagwalada Animal Hospital with bloat. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $400.
They have stabilized Max, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Max is more than a pet - Max is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $15 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Gwagwalada Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $400 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $25
• Emergency surgery: $330
• Medication and follow-up visits: $45
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
