Manal was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in April. The surgeon at Jeddah General Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $5,200 short.
my mother has been in and out of Jeddah General Hospital since April. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Manal struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Manal won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
