Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Thursday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 297 each week. Donations have dropped by about 59% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Lahore market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $350 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $135 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $165 • Baby formula and diapers: $40 • Refrigeration and electricity: $10 Thanks for reading all this.

Updates from Tariq

  1. Small update. $71 so far, I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Update from Lahore: we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. We're at 11% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
