Delilah was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in April. The surgeon at Leeds Regional Medical Center recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,750, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $5,800 short.
my wife has been in and out of Leeds Regional Medical Center since April. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Delilah struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Delilah won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
